Born in Boise, Idaho on 24th July 1974, Torrie Anne Wilson has risen to fame as a pro wrestler in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Torrie Wilson, as she is commonly known, is signed on WWE on the SmackDown brand

Torrie’s parents separated when she was ten and she had to move to McCall, a small town in Idaho. Torrie was extremely shy as a child but was able to get along well with others in her new school. At the school, she quickly found a niche in some school activities including cheerleading and dance. She was also a track and field star.

When she was in high school, her interest in modeling increased immensely and her mother was a great encouragement, telling her to follow her modeling passion. Wilson visited a modeling agency and was told that she had to lose some weight if she was to be considered for that type of work. She went ahead and lost 8 pounds but however did not escape a bout of bulimia, which she would struggle with for four years.

Wilson moved to Los Angeles after high school to pursue an acting career. She started taking classes during which she met an agent who helped her secure some few jobs and appearances, including an unaccredited one in the TV show Baywatch. Torrie Wilson made her debt in the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1999. At the event, she met Kevin Nash backstage. During those days, she was wrestling under the name “Samantha”. She has also been David Flair’s valet. During the 1999 Bash at the Beach, Wilson would lead Flair over Dean Malenko to win the WCW United States Championship.

2001 was the year when Torrie Wilson made her WWF debut on SmackDown. During the WCW/ECW Invasion storyline, she featured as a member of the Alliance. The WWE diva teamed up many times with Stacy Keibler and they together defeated Trish Stratus in one arm wrestling tournament. The two would later make their wrestling debuts in Bra and Panties WWF match against Trish Stratus and Lita, which they would lose. The match was part of the WWF Invasion PPV. On RAW the next night, Wilson defeated Trish Stratus in a paddle on a pole fight. Although she was not experienced, Wilson feuded with WWE divas many times and she has interfered in matches on behalf of other wrestlers who are on the WCW/ECW stable.

In June 2006, Torrie Wilson defeated Candice Michelle in the first Wet and Wild Match, a RAW edition fight. The match’s idea was to let two competitors dressed in white fight with squirt guns and water balloons. Her win gave her a chance to appear on the cover of WWE 2006 Summer Special Magazine. She contested against the ECW diva Kelly Kelley in the 2006 WWE ECW bikini contest where she was representing RAW. There was no winner declared and a six person mixed tag match was declared. Wilson was grouped with Tommy Dreamer and the Sandman. The team was fighting against Kelly Kelley, Mike Knox and Test.
