Melina Perez Biography
Melina Perez is an American wrestler and manager, who was born on 9th March, 1979. At the moment, she is signed to RAW on World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

She is a former World Wrestling Entertainment Women’s Champion and also served as the manager for the former tag team, MNM. As their manager, she led them to a record three wins in the WWE Tag Team Champions. She has also been the manager of her former boyfriend and MNM member Johnny Nitro (currently known as John Morrison). Perez led Johnny Nitro to two wins as the WWE Intercontinental Champion.

Before stepping into the wrestling arena, Perez was a Nike model and had won a beauty contest for Miss California. She decided to go into pro wrestling after she spoke with Mike Henderson in 2000. She started her trainings at School of Hard Knocks that is run by Jesse Hernandez.

In 2002, Perez debuted as a pro wrestler as part of the American independent wrestling scene tour. She has been a member of different promotions from California including CRUSH and Empire Wrestling Federation. The WWE diva wrestled under the name Kyra in Empire Wrestling Federation while she was known as Melanie Little Deer in CRUSH. Many officials from Empire Wrestling Federation have publicly acknowledged that Perez is the most talented woman to have ever gone through their school.

After she had made her debut, Melina Perez then auditioned for the WWE reality TV show Tough Enough III. She was among the 21 finalists. However, in the first episode of the finalists series, she was eliminated. The WWE diva would make her debut in the Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2004. She was used as a way of taunting her ex boyfriend John Hennigan. However, she would turn on Matt Cappotelli at that point and begin aligning herself with Hennigan. Hennigan would later change his name to Johnny Nitro and team up with Joey Mathews (later known as Joey Mercury). The trio will go on to emerge winners of the Ohio Valley Wrestling-OVW Southern Tag team Championship.

Melina Perez occasionally appeared on World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) TV shows while she was still wrestling at Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). On the Thanksgiving edition of the 2003 SmackDown, Perez dressed up as a Native American Indian. In 2004, the WWE diva made her debut in RAW when a special diva fashion show was hosted by Rand Orton. In December that very year, she appeared again in a RAW limbo contest.

Her debut with the MNM team on WWE was in the April 2005 edition of SmackDown.

Melina Perez is of American and Mexican heritage. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. At the moment, she is dating John Hennigan (known as John Morrison on ECW). She met him while they both were auditioning for the Tough Enough III series reality TV show. Unlike many of her counterparts, Melina Perez has reiterated that she is not interested in appearing on the Playboy magazine cover.
