Layla El was born on June 25th 1978. She is a British model, dancer as well as a professional wrestler currently living in the US. Layla is a British national of a Northern Africa origin and heritage. She is an employee of the WWE where she plays as one of the WWE divas and she makes her appearances on the WWE’S RAW brand.

Before she joined WWE in the year 2006, the WWE Diva was a prolific dancer for the renowned company ‘Carnival Cruise Line’ as well as the franchise ‘Miami Heat’ which is a part and parcel of the National Basketball Association.

Layla first came into limelight of professional women wrestling after the Diva’s chief trainer suggested to her to rise and go for the quarter million tagged WWE’S diva search in the contest of 2006. Layla won the contest easily, where she beat JT Tinney as well as Jen England in August the 16th finals. The WWE diva became the first Diva to win the Diva search with an African Heritage.

Layla then made her official WWE debut during the 2006 edition of SummerSlam on the backstage where she had a segment with other divas. In that specific segment, the WWE queen was taunted and teased as she received an initiation into the sublimes of the WWE Divadom. In fact Layla was also washed fully clothed as she got dragged by the other divas who then spanked her with a lot of amusement.

The WWE maestro then made her ring debut in a divas Battle Royal on the 24th of October. The first match Layla got involved ended mired in a controversy when the diva got dragged from the depth of the ring by the wrestler Miz, which made her lose the match. In fact, this led to a brewing feud between her and Miz who teamed with Kristal against her and the icon Boogeyman.

Layla was then drafted into the 2008 supplement of WWE draft of RAW, where she became the first ever Diva to have ever been a full official member in the WWE’s three brands.

After she had won the exclusive Diva search, Layla has been involved in more modeling work. She has appeared in King Magazine, Smooth and Jet as well as being the cover-girl in Liquid magazine’s first ever publication. Also, the Diva queen has also appeared on the issue of FHM together with other members of the troupe Extreme Expose’.

In another page of her life, Miss El has also appeared along with Brooke, Kelly Kelly, Ashley, Torrie Wilson and Maryse on Timbaland’s musical video which featured The Hives. In 2008 Layla was ranked the #39th of the 50 most prolific wrestler singles in PWI’s 50 Females.
