Candice Michelle Biography

Candice joined the entertainment industry as an actress and model, having moved to LA at the age of 19 where she studied theatre arts and on camera acting. She modeled for FLEX and Lowrider Magazine and in June 2002 was named Cyber Girl of The Week by Playboy magazine. She has also appeared in TV programs such as Party of Five, 7th Heaven and Erotica, and in movies such as Tom Cats, Anger Management, Dodge Ball and A Man Apart.

Despite not making it to the final ten in the July 2004 WWE Raw Diva Search, Candice signed a contract under the gimmick of a make-up artist. For the next few months she competed in Diva contests on Raw, in lingerie fashion shows and limbo contests.

Candice was moved to SmackDown in June 2005 where she got involved in Melina’s and Wilson’s storyline. She debuted on pay-per-view on the 24th of July as a Special Guest Referee between Melina and Wilson in the Bras and Panties Match. She was moved back to RAW shortly afterwards.

In her next storyline, Candice and Wilson began taunting Ashley Massaro and they later teamed up with fellow Raw diva to form Ladies in Pink, which later became the Vince’s Devils. When Trish Stratus returned from an injury, she joined forces with Massaro to retaliate against the Vince’s Devils. Massaro later defeated Candice in Candice’s first shot at WWE Women’s Championship at Taboo Tuesday in a Fulfill Your Fantasy Battle Royal.

Candice appeared in the first ever Bras and Panties Gauntlet Match in January 2006 but was eliminated by Maria. She later lost to Straus in the WWE Women’s championship in her first singles match, after winning in a Raw’s Diva Battle royal.

Candice was out of the ring for a couple of months after Victoria kicked her in the face and broke her nose in the November Raw edition during the diva battle royal. She was back in the ring in January with Maria to fight off Melina at the New Year’s Revolution. Candice’s in ring return was later that month where together with Mickie James they defeated Victoria and Melina.

Candice’s celebrity continued to grow and she fought and won singles matches with Victoria and Melina. Eventually this led to a match between her and Melina at One Night Stand, the first ever match held in a pudding filled swimming pool, which she won.

Candice is the first ever WWE Diva Search contestant to win the Women’s title in a match against Melina WWE championship in Vengeance. She retained her title in a rematch at The Great American Bash against Melina. Candice dropped her title as Women’s Champion in a match against Phoenix in October 2007.

After months of injury and surgery on her re-broken clavicle, Candice returned to the ring in a team with Kelly Kelly and Mickie James to defeat Jillian Hall, Katie Lea Burchill and Beth Phoenix in September 2008. She is scheduled to team up with the Raw divas against SmackDown divas at the Survivor series.
